- Usage data: feature interactions (e.g., likes, passes, profile views) to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- Location data: approximate and/or precise location data (such as GPS latitude and longitude), depending on your device settings and permissions.

- Push notification tokens: device or Expo push tokens used to deliver push notifications.
C) Verification data
Pawfectly may offer human verification using face-movement or liveness checks.
We do not store biometric identifiers, biometric templates, or face recognition profiles as part of this process.
Verification imagery is processed transiently and is not retained.
We may store verification outcomes (such as verified/unverified status) and timestamps.
Verification is not a guarantee of identity.

B) Service providers and third parties
We use subprocessors and integrations to operate the Service. They process information on our behalf under contractual obligations

C) Legal and safety
We may disclose information as we believe necessary to:
- Comply with law, legal process, subpoena, or lawful requests;

- Protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Pawfectly, our users, and others.
D) No sale of data (current policy)
We do not currently sell personal information. If our practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any required notices
or choices under applicable law.
5. Location information
We collect and use location information, which may include approximate location (such as city or ZIP code) and/or precise location
(such as GPS latitude and longitude), depending on your device permissions and how you use the Service.
We use location data to:
- Show nearby profiles and matches;
- Calculate distance estimates; and
- Provide meetup location suggestions in chat.
Place search and address resolution may use third-party geocoding (see Section 2(B)).
You can control location permissions through your device settings. Some features may not function properly without location access.
We also recommend limiting exact location sharing in messages until you trust someone.
6. Photos and content moderation
Photos and other content may be processed to enforce community and safety rules, such as detecting disallowed content
(for example, explicit content, contact information, screenshots, or text overlays).
We may use third-party automated services (including OpenAI moderation APIs) that analyze images or temporary image URLs.
We may store moderation outcomes (e.g., approved/rejected) and related metadata.
7. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate purposes such as
safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.

When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify:
- Profile information;
- Dog profiles;
- Uploaded photos (and associated metadata); and
- Preferences and onboarding data.
Conversation retention
At present, deleting an account may not delete all conversation records and chat history. Conversation data may be retained to preserve
conversation continuity for remaining participants and for trust & safety, legal, and compliance purposes. Where feasible,
we remove or minimize direct identifiers.
